The company was incorporated on 30 July 1925 under the name C.A.M.P.O.S. S.A., the company name being changed in 1991 to its current name, CAMPOS 1925, S.A.
Its initial business was importing
raw materials, and it later turned to processing first rubber and then
thermoplastics, a sector in which it can be regarded as one of the pioneers
in Spain.
The centre's buildings extend to
10,000 square metres, standing on a site of 20,000 m2, in a location
25 km away from Barcelona in the town of POLINYA, and a staff of some
80 employees work in it.
The production department is divided into three areas:
Three thermoplastics EXTRUSIÓN lines are available for ABS, PEHD, ABS-PC, PS, PP, EVA and PVC, manufactured under the registered Trade Marks TECNODUR and TECNOFLEX, in various quality ranges, with heat and fire resistance, reinforced composition etc.
Theree milling machines with robot-controlled cutting on 5 spindles are used, along with hydraulic presses, cam presses, stamping machines, ultrasonic welding etc
A covered CALENDERING LINE is available, specially designed for making rigid PVC film in thicknesses of 0.150 to 0.800 mm, up to a maximum width of 1,200mm.
The company owns the registered trade mark VACIDUR, for which the pertinent Health Registration has been granted, enabling a top-quality product to be offered to the most demanding customers.
Products specially adapted to the requirements of each client are designed in the PRODUCT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, where various simultaneous-engineering projects have been handled in conjunction with manufacturers from the automotive sector.
For these purposes, the necessary human and computer resources are available (3D CAD system, SOLID EDGE and A0 plotter).
Before the industrial-engineering work, prototypes are made by the PROCESS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.
QUALITY is a primordial objective of the company, and it is certified by APPLUS under the standard ISO 9001:2000.
The QUALITY DEPARTMENT has all the human and technical resources needed to carry out all the controls and tests on materials and products at all stages in the process.
Given the great interest in conserving the environment, the pertinent adaptations have been made to the production processes, and it is certified under ISO 14001 and EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).
